Weatherization Plus Donates Building Materials to Frankfort Prep School

On Monday, August 29, a small group of employees from Weatherization Plus delivered building materials to a Frankfort preparatory school where the students are in the process of building their own classrooms. This group of enterprising young students had completed the demolition phase of their project, but found themselves in need of building materials to construct their new classrooms. Since the school was not able to fund the renovations, Principal Hefling reached out to the community for support and sponsorship for this project. He spoke to Weatherization Plus and we unanimously agreed to purchase and deliver the needed building supplies in a show of support for the communities we work in.
The students were eager to help off-load the products and Principal Hefling told us that we had done much more than donate building supplies. He told us his students came from backgrounds where people make promises and never deliver. He said many of the students seemed to have lost hope, but that this simple act of kindness would carry these students quite far.
We wish these young students great success in their building project and in their lives moving forward. We hope to partner with them again in the future!
