Independence Day Celebration
Tuesday, July 4th, 2017 by Joy Padgett
In celebration of Independence Day, we would like to take a moment to remember those who have fallen to make and keep America free. Their lives were not lost in vain. Their lives are not meaningless. Their efforts and sacrifices are remembered by patriots all across this United States of America.
Now we would like to to thank those, still living amongst us, who served in the military in the past. We thank you for your service, your dedication, your bravery and your sacrifices. You put your life on the line every day to keep America the land of the free, but for you, there was a price. Those of us who are still patriots can never repay you for your service. We can only hope that our “Thank you” will be worth something to you.
Next, to those men and women who are currently serving in the United States military, we applaud you, salute you and are proud of you! Because of you, America is still free. You do not go unnoticed or unappreciated. You are valued amongst true patriots. You are the heart of this great nation! Without you, America would fall. Without you freedom wouldn’t exist.
And finally, to the families of those who have served and are serving now, we thank you for supporting our soldiers. We thank you for sacrificing your time with you loved one that we could be free. We thank you for raising a son or daughter who was willing to serve this great country. We thank the little boys and girls who have a mom or dad who doesn’t get to celebrate every birthday or Christmas at home. Thank you for sharing your mom and dad with our country.
It is our wish that every American take time today to thank a veteran, place flowers on a military grave, donate to Wounded Warriors, or just say a prayer for a soldier.
